Rain chances return on Thursday and Friday with a beautiful weekend to follow.
Wednesday began with temperatures in the 40s under a clear sky. By the afternoon, highs will reach the low 70s with a light wind.
Clouds will rapidly increase overnight and we’ll wake up to a cloudy sky Thursday morning. Morning lows will drop into the mid to upper 50s.
Cloudy and cool Thursday with scattered showers streaming in from the south during the day. The heaviest rain will break out well to the west of the Dallas-Fort Worth area and stay out there until the second half of Friday. That’s when I think we’ll see the best chance of rain around here. Afternoon highs each day will only reach the mid-60s, cooling into the upper 50s if you see any rain for an extended period. A few storms may be strong well to the west of DFW today, isolated severe tomorrow just west of 35W. The tornado threat is non-existent.
There could be very heavy rainfall fall across the Panhandle, South Plains, and the northwestern Red River Valley on Thursday and Friday.
