Chilly mornings and cool afternoons will characterize the North Texas weather pattern through the middle of the week, followed by a brief warm-up on Thursday and Friday, and a significant drop in temperature next weekend.
Temperatures fell to around or slightly below freezing Monday morning, with wind chills in the low to mid-20. Patchy black ice was also present in some residential areas north of Dallas-Fort Worth.
