Martin Luther King Jr. Day is observed annually as a federal holiday on the third Monday of January. This year, we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Monday, January 20.
The theme for this year is “Mission Possible: Protecting Freedom, Justice, and Democracy in the Spirit of Nonviolence365,” as stated by The King Center, a nonprofit established by civil rights leader Coretta Scott King to perpetuate Dr. King’s legacy.
