DALLAS (KDAF) — Smoothie King is testing its first-ever food products at select locations in Texas.
This trial marks a significant moment in the brand’s 50-year history as it explores ways to complement its lineup of smoothies with food options. The new Power Eats menu features high-protein options with premium ingredients to fuel your day. Starting January 21, customers at participating stores in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, including Fort Worth and Arlington, will have the opportunity to enjoy a limited test menu with seven curated food options. The initial, limited menu will include the following toasts and protein-rich snack boxes – all crafted with the same high-quality ingredients that Smoothie King guests have come to trust:
- Hearty 8 Grain Loaded Avocado Toast – 100% avocado spread over toasted 8 grain bread and topped with everything seasoning (8g protein)
- Hearty 8 Grain Loaded Chocolate Hazelnut Toast – Chocolate hazelnut spread over toasted 8 grain bread, with blueberries and strawberries, then topped with Purely Elizabeth® granola (10g protein)
- Hearty 8 Grain Loaded Peanut Butter Toast – All-natural peanut butter spread over toasted 8 grain bread, topped with fresh blueberries, strawberries, and bananas, with a drizzle of honey (13g protein)
- Fruit & Cheese Protein Box – Almonds, cheddar, Monterey & pepper jack cheese, dried cranberry & apricot mix, and fresh blueberries with flax & sea salt crackers (20g protein)
- Eggs & Cheese Protein Box – 2 hard-boiled eggs, cheddar, Monterey & pepper jack cheese, fresh strawberries, and blueberries with flax & sea salt crackers (26g protein)
- Chicken Skewers – Available at all test locations starting January 27. Two sous vide chicken tenders in salt & pepper or zesty garlic marinade with choice of Buttermilk Ranch, Barbecue, or Boom Boom Sauce (26g protein)
The trial in select Texas cities will serve as an essential step in evaluating guest feedback and refining the food menu before the national rollout of an expanded menu at the end of the year.
