It may sound like the start of spine-chilling horror film: a mysterious, sentient blob washes up on Texas shores. But don’t fear, Texas park rangers are here.

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department shared a photo on social media Feb. 6 of a slimy mass found at Inks Lake State Park in Burnet, asking users to cast guesses as to what the goo could be. There was one stipulation: “wrong answers only.”
Here’s what users said:
- “My brain. Lost that years ago. How did it get over there?”
- “One T-Rex kidney stone. That explains the yelling!”
- “Slime from an ice machine.”
- “Petrified prehistoric pinto bean!”
- “Bigfoot toenail clipping?”
