For years, Texans, and those visiting Texas, have traveled to San Antonio to stroll the banks of the River Walk, to dine and shop at the hundreds of shops that line the tourist attraction.
A Dallas-based investment company wants to create a San Antonio-like experience with a new riverwalk project in a Dallas-Ft. Worth suburb. The project will be constructed in the city of Mansfield, just south of Ft. Worth. The company recently announced more details about the planned project.
The proposed 210-acre project, The Reserve, is expected to cost around $1 billion and will open in phases beginning in 2027.
When complete, The Reserve will feature:
- half-mile canal loop
- boardwalk plaza
- 6-acre lake
- dining options
- retail and commercial space
- hotel space
- residential space
