DALLAS — A multi-vehicle “major fatal accident” shut down Interstate 20 at Highway 310 in southern Dallas on Sunday morning, according to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office posted about the crash at 3:30 a.m. Sunday and said it happened in the eastbound lanes. TxDOT cameras showed crews on scene and smoke pluming from below the I-20 bridge at TX-310 around 2:40 a.m. Sunday morning.
WFAA sent a crew to the scene and it appeared an 18-wheeler fell from the overpass onto the service road below. There was a box truck and another truck – seemingly a pickup – that appeared to be involved, as well. The box truck had significant fire damage to the cab.
