Driver arrested after being involved in 2 hit-and-runs in the same morning, police say

ARLINGTON, Texas — A 29-year-old woman was arrested and charged on several outstanding warrants after police say she was involved in two hit-and-runs just blocks away from each other.

The Arlington Police Department (APD) said officers responded at about 8 a.m. Tuesday to the intersection of North Mesquite Street and Slaughter Street for a call about a hit-and-run. The driver of a 2012 Ford Focus told officers she was traveling northbound along Mesquite Street when a Chevrolet Avalanche traveling westbound along Slaughter Street ran a stop sign, collided with her, then continued driving, according to APD.

While officers were at the scene on North Mesquite Street and Slaughter Street, APD said they got a report of another hit-and-run that also involved a Chevrolet Avalanche at the intersection of East Randol Mill Road and North Collins Street, which is only a couple of blocks away…
