Following a night of severe weather with large hail in parts of North Texas, storm activity remained north and east of the Dallas-Fort Worth area through mid-afternoon Wednesday. Additional rain will move in from the south during the second half of Thursday, persisting through mid to late morning on Friday. The severity is expected to remain low.
Hail the size of golfballs affected eastern areas of North Texas on Tuesday, with hail accumulation reaching 4-6 inches in height, particularly in southeast Collin County. This resulted in hazardous travel conditions and significant damage to roofs and windows, especially along and east of Central Expressway. Another area of large hail was reported just north of Cleburne in Johnson County late Tuesday afternoon.
