Dallas officials review revised plans for new police academy

Dallas city officials are reviewing updated plans for a new police training academy at the University of North Texas at Dallas, after earlier proposals faced pushback over space limitations for recruits.

The city has been working for years to develop a larger, modern training facility, but initial designs revealed earlier this year raised concerns about whether the site could accommodate new recruits. That issue has now been addressed, and the latest draft received some support at city hall.
