I hate roundabouts. Seriously. There is a famous one in Waco, Texas, where I grew up, called The Circle. Let me tell, you, it is extremely dangerous to drive around that sucker. Nobody quite understands who has the right of way, and it always seems like you are just about to get rear-ended by someone. What’s worse is that these days, the traffic on The Circle is ten times worse than when I was growing up due to the Chip and Joanna Gaines’ famous Magnolia restaurant being located there.
I’m just saying the roundabouts are a nuisance. Want proof? The video below is all you need. A speeding car approaches a roundabout, obviously unaware of how to navigate one of these bad boys, and launches into the air, Dukes of Hazzard style. Let’s break down the footage.
Speeding Car Flies After Hitting Texas Roundabout
The video opens with security cam footage of a roundabout intersection in Oak Cliff, an area located in Dallas, Texas. It’s a serene picture with nothing of note happening. Then, we see a car come barreling down the road at what looks like excessive speeds.
At this point, the speeding vehicle hits the roundabout head-on and launches into the air like the General Lee. That sucker must have flown at least twenty feet in the air before crashing back down to earth…
