DALLAS — A “major accident” involving an 18-wheeler shut down southbound lanes of Interstate 45/345 at Interstate 30 near downtown Dallas on Friday morning, according to officials.
Dallas Fire-Rescue said the crash happened at approximately 3:12 a.m. when an 18-wheeler crashed into a wall at I-345 Expressway and Main Street. The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office said the 18-wheeler involved in the crash lost its load and there was also a fuel spill. Hazmat crews worked to clean up the spill – approximately five gallons of diesel fuel – on Friday morning, which caused the southbound main lane closures for hours.
The scene was cleared and the road was reopened by 7 a.m…
