Yet another big company is moving to Texas from California. Hair care giant John Paul Mitchell Systems will soon move its corporate headquarters from Santa Clarita to Dallas County, Gov. Greg Abbott announced last week.
JPMS advertises “salon quality hair products,” from shampoos and conditioners to hair styling tools for all types of hair. Its brands include Paul Mitchell, Tea Tree and Neuro, and products are distributed to over 30 countries. The company also has three partner schools in the Bay Area.
The company’s move to Wilmer — a Dallas suburb with just over 6,000 residents — is expected to create 80 new jobs and bring in over $12 million in capital investment, according to Abbott. In addition to offices, JPMS will operate a global distribution center at the new location…
