Officials study $2.9B rail link from Celina to Irving

A proposed 37-mile rail line connecting Celina to downtown Irving was called one of the “most promising corridors,” according to an official with the North Central Texas Council of Governments.

The line — referred to as the Frisco Line by NCTCOG — is under consideration in Mobility 2050, a comprehensive transportation plan guiding regional investments through 2050, emphasizing reducing car dependency and expanding alternative transportation options.
