2 arrested in North Texas after fatal road rage shooting, police say

DENTON, Texas — Police arrested two people Sunday after a parking lot dispute turned deadly in North Texas, officials announced.

According to the Denton Police Department, officers got a call about a fight in the parking lot of the QuikTrip at 321 Eagle Drive just before 1 a.m. Denton PD said that while on the phone with dispatchers, the caller heard gunshots. When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot, the department said. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

An early investigation determined that a man and woman, later identified as Alfred Jackson Jr., 26, of Pattinson, Miss., and Olivia Guster, 24, of Port Gibson, Miss., respectively, got into a fight with the victim and the victim’s friend over a right-of-way issue.
