Dallas Delivery Robots Caught in Awkward Standoff

Well, isn’t this the tiniest traffic jam you’ve ever seen?

On the streets of Dallas this week, a small fleet of delivery robots ran into an unexpected challenge: each other.

A video circulating online shows six delivery robots frozen at a complete stop after crossing paths. The autonomous machines, designed to transport meals and packages, appeared unable to navigate around one another, creating a miniature traffic jam on the sidewalk. As cool as the idea of delivery robots is, it looks as if we aren’t quite there yet. Am I crazy, or is there plenty of room for those rascals to go around each other and still stay on the sidewalk? Dummies. I think robots are going to have to walk on two feet before they will truly replace human delivery.
