Waymo says its self-driving ride-hailing service could begin in Houston within weeks

Waymo, the California-based self-driving car tech firm, says it is set to expand its fully autonomous robotaxi service to more Texas cities, including Houston, Dallas and San Antonio, within weeks.

The company launched its ride-hailing operations Tuesday in Miami and intends to do the same next in Texas and Orlando, Fla., it said this week.  Currently, Waymo operates in Austin, San Francisco, Phoenix and Los Angeles.
