DALLAS — Families who participate in Texas’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) programs can purchase a one-year, family-level Zoo membership for just $50, starting on Dec. 9.
The “Zoo For All program,” designed to make family-level Zoo memberships more affordable and accessible for families across North Texas, was started by the Dallas Zoo to “ensure every family, regardless of financial circumstances, has the opportunity to explore one of Dallas’s most beloved education and conservation-focused destinations,” the zoo said in a release.
“Our mission of Engaging People and Saving Wildlife starts with making sure that everyone has the chance to experience our Zoo,” said Lisa New, CEO of the Dallas Zoo. “Zoo For All is a crucial step toward removing barriers and making sure every family can connect with animals, nature, and conservation in meaningful ways. That core belief is central to everything we do here at the Zoo, and we’re so proud to roll out this new program to help us extend our reach to even more families.”…
