DALLAS, Texas — A routine traffic stop in Dallas led to the arrest of a 25-year-old man after officers discovered drugs and a weapon in his vehicle. The incident occurred on January 11, 2026, at approximately 11:00 p.m. in the 4800 block of Haas Drive.
South Central Patrol officers initiated the stop after noticing a defective license plate light and expired registration on the vehicle. During the investigation, officers detected the odor of marijuana, leading to the detention of the driver, Julian Lewis, of Dallas, Texas. A pat-down revealed a handgun concealed in Lewis’s waistband.
