Despite strong opposition from residents, the Dallas City Council voted on December 10, 2025, to approve a Specific Use Permit for a 90-foot Verizon cell tower in the historic South Boulevard Park Row district, according to the Dallas Weekly.
The tower will be built at 1814 South Boulevard on church-owned land, just 60 feet from the home of T.A. Sneed, who has lived there since 1984 and fought the proposal for nearly a year. Sneed says he never received the legally required notice and that a zoning sign posted in early 2025 was removed before a key hearing.
