WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — A Dallas man remains in custody after police said he scammed a 76-year-old woman out of nearly $25,000.
Shubham Adane, of Dallas, was booked into the Wichita County Jail on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026, and charged with financial abuse of an elderly individual over $2,500 and under $30,000. At last check, he remains held on a $150,000 bond.
According to court documents, the Financial Crimes Unit of the Wichita Falls Police Department was notified on Feb. 11, 2026, of a possible elderly female being the victim of a scam. Police said a bank employee who noticed unusual activity on the victim’s account notified them of the scam…
