Woman arrested for false report of shooting at Arlington hotel, wanted police to arrive faster

A woman staying at an Arlington hotel was arrested early Wednesday after police said she falsely reported a shooting in an attempt to get officers to respond more quickly.

Officers were called around 5:30 a.m. to a hotel in the 700 block of Six Flags Drive after a report of a shooting, according to the Arlington Police Department. When officers arrived, they searched the hotel but found no evidence that a shooting had occurred.

Hotel staff told police they had not heard any gunshots and that everything at the hotel appeared normal…
