Dallas man shot 8 times after suspect used fake pizza delivery as a lure

A Dallas man was shot eight times on March 1 after a suspect used an unsolicited pizza delivery to lure him to his front door – a premeditated ambush that police say was carefully staged, and for which no arrest has been made nearly three weeks later.

Dallas Police responded to the 1800 block of Sedona Lane at approximately 4:13 p.m. and found the victim in critical condition. Dallas Fire-Rescue transported him to a local hospital, where he survived despite being struck eight times.

Surveillance video from across the street shows a delivery driver arrive in a dark-colored sedan, retrieve food from the back seat, and walk to the front door of the home. As the driver approached, the suspect — dressed in all black — emerged from around the corner and waited near the garage door for the victim to answer…
