JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The LeFleur’s Bluff State Park in Jackson is set to be revitalized with several new expansions to connect several amenities by walking or biking.
During an event hosted on June 9, 2026, several new construction projects were announced by the Lefleur’s Bluff Conservancy, which hopes to bring nature accessibly to the Jackson community.

“It is so important to invest in outdoor spaces in public parks like the LeFleur’s Bluff Conservancy,” said Susan Garrard, chair of LeFleur’s Bluff Conservancy. “Parks and recreation and outdoor recreational activities are some of the most valued experiences that young people around the country are valuing as they make decisions about where they live.”
Featured amenities for the conservatory includes a golf park, pickleball courts, bike trails, a disc golf course, public art installations and public infrastructure upgrades including a planned pedestrian and cyclist bridge across Lakeland Drive…
