Jackson woman turns herself in after fatal hit-and-run on Maddox Road, police say

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – A woman accused in a fatal hit-and-run that killed a pedestrian on Maddox Road has turned herself in, according to the Jackson Police Department.

Hinds County Coroner Jeramiah Howard previously confirmed he responded to the scene of a pedestrian fatality on Wednesday night. Howard said he was officially dispatched at about 7:50 p.m.

Witnesses told officials a couple was walking in the area when a man was struck by a gray vehicle.

The victim was identified as 46-year-old Christopher Scott Dunn, who died at the scene.
