JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Councilman Kenneth Stokes hosted a free back-to-school haircut event Tuesday for Jackson Public Schools students, giving families a chance to knock one item off a long and expensive list before the school year begins.
The event was held at J Roz Cutz on Clinton Boulevard. Boys received free haircuts and girls received free wash and sets. Students needed a voucher — available through Councilman Stokes’ office — to participate.
