City homing in on major leak at zoo, months after making emergency repairs

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – City leaders say they are still searching for a major leak at the Jackson Zoological Park, nearly a year after making tens of thousands of dollars in emergency repairs there.

Last year, the Jackson City Council authorized spending about $75,000 to fix long-running leaks at the park.

Chief Administrative Officer Pieter Teeuwissen told the council on Tuesday that at least 10 leaks have been repaired, which has reduced the city’s overall water bill for the facility…
