JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Only two people showed up for a public hearing to discuss Jackson’s 2026-27 fiscal year budget, and both speakers had a strong message for the Council: don’t cut funding for public works.
A special called meeting was held Thursday to hear public comments on next year’s budget, and to set next year’s millage rate.
