LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — Grace Sweeney delivered an offensive spark late in the third set and carried that momentum into the fourth, helping the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns Volleyball team chase away Jackson State 3-1 (25-20, 23-25, 25-21, 25-15) on Saturday at E.K. Long Gym in the finale of the Ragin’ Cajuns Classic.
Sweeney finished with eight kills on a .438 hitting percentage (8 K, 1 E, 16 TA), providing the Ragin’ Cajuns (5-8) with a timely boost off the bench. After returning to the floor with Louisiana ahead 19-18 in the third set, she broke a 20-all tie with three consecutive kills that put the Ragin’ Cajuns in control.
