JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Investigators are still looking into what caused a massive fire at a Jackson apartment complex.
The fire occurred at The Park at Marsala Apartments on Hospital Drive on September 21, 2026. The cause of the fire is still undetermined.
Some familied were left with nearly nothing. The piercing sound of fire alarms throughout the night and into the next day were a reminder of the place that housed dozens of Jackson State University (JSU) students. Some residents said the response time from firefighters took nearly an hour.
