JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – A Jackson non-profit , working with the homeless and youth, is hoping city funds will help them stabilize lives while improving the look of the city. The groups asked city leaders to look at them before awarding funds to those outside the city.
The un-housed, working with The Youth Outreach Company spent two hours cleaning up streets along Northside Drive and North State Street Tuesday. They are efforts funded through donations, but organizers are hoping that the city will help with future funding of cleanups.
