Heavy rainfall returns, raises concern for another flash flood threat

JACKSON, Miss. – Another round of heavy rainfall poses a flash flood threat for central Mississippi. A cold front that swept the state Thursday morning had the potential to dump 1-3 inches of rain before noon. Unlike Wednesday’s rainfall, heavy rain will start to taper off after 12 p.m. with lingering showers west of Interstate 55 through 4 p.m.
