RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. ( WJTV ) – The Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) responded to a crash involving two 18-wheelers in Rankin County.
The crash happened just after midnight on Friday, January 26 on Interstate 20 east near the 62 mile-marker. The westbound lanes of I-20 were closed for several hours Friday morning.

According to MHP, fatigue may have played a factor in the crash. A passenger in one of the 18-wheelers was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Rankin County deputies and Pelahatchie police also assisted at the scene.
