Driver wanted after chase involving Capitol police

JACKSON, Miss ( WJTV ) – Capitol police are searching for a suspect after a chase in Jackson.

Bailey Martin, press secretary for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (DPS), said officers observed a vehicle matching the description of a stolen vehicle near Ellis Avenue on Thursday, January 25.

When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver led them on a chase down multiple streets in Jackson and Interstate 55.

One injured after two 18-wheelers crash in Rankin County

Officers suspended the chase when they lost sight of the vehicle. No injuries were reported.

Martin said police were notified afterwards of the vehicle being parked at an apartment complex in Jackson. No arrests have been made.
