JACKSON, Miss. – Jackson City Council President Aaron Banks has been charged with driving under the influence. According to court records, Banks was stopped about 11 p.m. on Jan. 12 by a trooper with the Mississippi Highway Patrol for failing to stay in the proper lane while driving on Interstate 55. Banks was also charged with DUI. The trooper said in the report that Banks’ blood alcohol content was 0.16, which is twice the legal limit.
