JACKSON, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Jackson police are investigating after a man and a woman were shot inside of a vehicle.
The shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. on Friday, January 26 on Ellis Avenue near Highway 80.

Police said the two victims were inside of a black Lexus. The man died at the scene, and the woman was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
The male victim was identified as 23-year-old Devaun Johnson.
