JACKSON, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Kindergartners at Mission First Early Learning Center in Jackson have been in school for 100 days, as of Wednesday, Jan. 24th.
To mark the occasion, students and teachers dressed up as 100-year-olds.
Students participated in small group activities that centered around fun and educational 100-day activities, such as drawing a self-portrait of themselves at 100-years-old.
Families as Allies building meaningful relationships with families and schools
The 100th day of school is a milestone for elementary schools across the country.
It signifies the halfway point of the year.
Each elementary school marks the 100th day of school depending on when they start the school year.
