JACKSON, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Crews with the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) will work to repair concrete on Interstate 55 and Interstate 20 this weekend.
Officials said there will be temporary lane closures from 10:00 p.m. on Friday, February 2 to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 3.
MDOT encourages safe travel for Mardi Gras season
The inside lane of I-55 north from McDowell Road to the Pearl River, and the inside and center lane of I-20 east from Bridge 45.0B to the Pearl River will be affected.
During the work, while one lane of traffic will remain open, drivers should anticipate congestion and delays during heavy traffic periods. Drivers are reminded to slow down and stay alert for roadside workers and signage.
