Two women charged after child found wandering in South Jackson

JACKSON, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Police arrested and charged two women with felony child neglect after a child was found wandering a street in South Jackson.

Deputy Chief Sequerna Banks said Tamara Silas and Emily Silas were both charged on Thursday, February 8.

Anthony Fox reinstated as Clinton narcotics detective

Police said the child was found wandering in the area of Shalimar Drive and Shady Lane Drive on Tuesday, February 6. After a while, the guardians of the child were located.

The investigation is ongoing.
