Mississippi Ag Museum to host annual Spring Farm Days

JACKSON, Miss. ( WJTV ) – The Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum will host its annual Spring Farm Days event in March.

The family-friendly event is set from March 7 to 9 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00. Admission is $8 for ages three and up. While there, visitors can explore the grounds and various exhibits to learn about farming, gardening, forestry, and more. Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce Andy Gipson (R-Miss.) encouraged the Jackson community to participate in an agency press release.

“With educational exhibits, food and animals including baby chicks, this event has something the whole family will enjoy,” Gipson said.

Baby chickens are not the only animals on display. The Children’s Barnyard will also be open and include a variety of animals like chickens, pigs, sheep, goats, horses and cows. Farming and forestry equipment will be among the various exhibits set up to teach visitors about farming, gardening, forestry and more.
