JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – A calm and cloudy start to the day, but stormy weather is on the way. Gloomy, overcast conditions persist this morning along with very warm temperatures in the low 70s. We will warm back to the low 80s this afternoon ahead of showers and storms that are expected to impact the area through the evening commute. There is a low-end risk for severe weather as a line of thunderstorms pushes through. The main concerns are still gusty winds and hail, but a tornado cannot be ruled out. The greatest potential for severe thunderstorms will exist in areas north and east of the metro.
