JACKSON, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Jackson police are investigating after a body was found in the Pearl River.
The incident happened near South State Street and Gallatin Street on Tuesday, April 30. Multiple emergency units responded to the scene in order to recover the body.
Belvedere Drive shooting being investigated as double homicide
Detective Tommie Brown said the deceased person is a male. Crews are working to recover the body from the river.
Rankin County deputies and Richland police also responded to the scene to assist.
