RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. – Jury selection began Monday in the trial for a teenager accused of killing her mother and shooting her stepfather in Rankin County. Carly Gregg was 14 years old in March when the shooting took place at the family’s home in Brandon. Gregg is accused of fatally shooting her mother, Ashley Smylie, and injuring her stepfather.
