MHP to target high-risk traffic violations

JACKSON, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) said troopers will increase enforcement in Central Mississippi.

According to MHP Troop C, troopers will target high-risk traffic violations that have led to numerous crashes and fatalities in the area.

Drivers should anticipate more troopers on state highways.

“We urge the public to prioritize safety by following traffic regulations, wearing seatbelts, avoiding texting while driving, and abstaining from driving under the influence,” officials said.
