HINDS COUNTY, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham-Stewart announced her retirement effective December 31, 2024. She has served the community for 25 years.
“It has been my absolute honor to serve the citizens of Hinds County,” said Grisham-Stewart. “After 25 years of being on call 24/7, 365 days a year, it’s time for me to start the next chapter in
my life. I want to thank my family, friends, and the citizens of Hinds County for their prayers
and support.”
She was elected in 1999 and began serving in 2000 as coroner.
In retirement, Grisham-Stewart said she looks forward to spending more time with her family and exploring new personal and professional opportunities.
