JACKSON, Miss. ( WJTV ) – A recent report shows that the capital city again ranked as among the country’s worst for those with disabilities.
According to the CDC , about 28% of Americans have some type of disability. In 2023, A WalletHub report ranked Jackson as the 180th best place for disabled Americans to live. The rankings looked at 182 major cities. For 2024 , its ranking remained the same.
WalletHub looked at three broad metrics when conducting its analysis: economy, quality of life, and healthcare. Of the 10 cities ranked at the bottom of the list, seven are in the South. Gulfport’s 2023 rank -182nd- remained unchanged in 2024
