11-Month-Old Infant Found Near Drugs and Guns in Ridgeland Drug Bust

A narcotics search warrant was executed by Ridgeland Police Street Crimes Unit and Ridgeland Police Narcotics Detectives with the aid of the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics on October 1. A young child was found in the home, and has since been placed in the custody of a family member.

The search warrant was conducted at a home on Planters Grove in Ridgeland. During the warrant’s execution, two handguns and two AR-style pistols were seized, as well as approximately 9.7 pounds of marijuana, 32 ounces of THC wax, and about 2.7 ounces of psilocybin mushrooms.

According to Ridgeland Police Department, the eleven month old child was found asleep near the drugs as well as the firearms, all of which were unsecured. Child Protective Services was made aware of the situation, and the child was taken to the family member.

Justyn Wilson, age 26, of Ridgeland, was arrested at the home.

Wilson will face multiple charges, including child endangerment, possession with intent to distribute, tampering with evidence, and trafficking a controlled substance.
