PEARL, Miss. (WLBT) – Saturday, seven Pearl runners competed in the MHSAA 7A State Championship in Clinton; all seven of those runners finished in 17th or better. “Coming into it, we were pretty confident. We knew that Tupelo was not too far behind us, so we didn’t want to coming in thinking we were gonna easily take it,” said senior Farren Oberto, who finished 12th in the event. “But, it was a good race, our team did good; I feel like I didn’t personally run as good as I should’ve, but even then, we had other teammates step up.”
