Mississippi could see storms Wednesday as a cold front moves in. Light showers are moving north this morning, and heavy rain will pick up later in the afternoon. Scattered showers and downpours are expected through the morning and mid-morning hours, but heavy rain will pick up around 12 p.m. in South Mississippi. It’s expected to move into the Jackson area between 2 and 4 p.m., and into North Mississippi after rush hour.
