New Orleans, LA – A Winter Storm Watch is in effect from late Monday through Tuesday evening, impacting parts of southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi. Authorities warn of heavy snow and potential ice accumulations, creating dangerous travel conditions.

According to the National Weather Service, snowfall totals may reach 4 to 8 inches along and north of the I-10 and I-12 corridors, with 2 to 6 inches south of those areas. Ice accumulation is also possible in southern regions. Bridges, overpasses, and roads could become slick and hazardous, especially during Tuesday’s morning and evening commutes.
